How muiscian and influencer, Abby Roberts tapped into her fan base to generate funds for an LGBTQ+ non profit
Abby Roberts is a musician, makeup artist and one of the UK’s biggest influencers. She has successfully built up a loyal fan base across several social media platforms who are there to see her music, beauty and lifestyle content.
Despite accruing an astonishing amount of fans, Abby’s engagement with her audience is predominantly online and she does not have a physical space to engage with her fans and followers in person.
To engage face to face with her audience, in summer 2021, Abby Roberts took over Sook’s space on Oxford Street to raise money for the charity Warchild.
Abby transformed the space into a vintage clothing pop-up and sold out all stock within a few hours generating significant queues.
Following this success, Abby returned to Sook to pop-up at the Shoreditch space, this time raising money for an LGBTQ+ non profit organisation.
Abby used the Shoreditch space to sell her own band’s merchandise alongisde a selection of curated vintage pieces. Followers came in their hundreds to meet Abby in person, grab a selfie and get their hands on an item from her store.
Abby successfully achieved her primary goal of raising an impressive amount of funds for her chosen charity all while connecting with her audience in person and bringing her community together under one roof.
