Carib and Co Brunch is a community-led organisation that hosts food events and pop ups to inspire and connect people, with the idea sparked from founder Jade Weir-Reid's love of good food and its ability to bring people closer together.
Its pop-ups provide a space for brands to showcase their products in locations that may not otherwise be accessible - with customers drawn in by delicious and affordable brunches. Each event has a theme, often well-being or health related, and Jade’s goal is to ensure guests leave with a sense of community that stays with them.
Building a Community through Sook
"Sook was the biggest space we'd ever used. It was brilliant to have a voice on Oxford Street - bringing brands to the forefront and showcasing small businesses and artists.
"People felt the space had a great energy and they didn’t want to leave. We had lots of comments about the atmosphere being really warm and amazing, and how bright the space was. We built up a community over the time we were there - we had people come back the next day and brought their friends and family. Others started to come following recommendations, and our community grew and grew."
Dancing on Europe’s Busiest Shopping Street
"Our pop-up with Sook brought together people of all ages and from all walks of life were joining our dance parties on Oxford Street. We were bringing fun and happiness and we had many people dancing to diverse music. That’s what we do. Dance is so warming and we would love to host more dance workshops at Sook in the future."

Here’s to Growing Bigger and Better
In the future, Jade hopes to offer more free brunches or set up food banks for their growing community. CaribandCo brunch is also planning to expand outside of London, with Manchester and a pop up at Sook Edinburgh already on the cards.
Here at Sook we are so excited to see what the future holds for Jade and the rest of the crew - we have a hunch there will be a lot more brunch, and we are delighted to be a part of their journey.
